ANZAC DAY THURSDAY 25th APRIL

The Oakleigh Carnegie RSL Sub Branch invites the community to participate in its local ANZAC Dawn Service on Thursday 25th April 2019, as we commemorate this important national day of remembrance. The Sub Branch also invites you to attend the activities and events being held at the club during the day.

6.00 am - Dawn Service at The Cenotaph, Cnr Drummond St and Atherton Rd Oakleigh.

7.15 am - Breakfast at the Oakleigh Carnegie RSL Sub Branch, 95 Drummond St Oakleigh (gold coin donation).

9.00 am - Welcome to stay at the club rooms to watch the City ANZAC Parade.

10.45 am - Assemble on Football Oval adjacent to OCRSL to see a Fly Pass by the RAAF Williams Museum Point Cook.

12 noon - Memorial Hall presentation - by Clare O’Neil, MP Hotham, of framed photo of Australian Nurses arriving on the Greek Island of Lemnos WW1.

- Followed by the unveiling of a new Mural in the Memorial Hall commissioned to honour our service men and women and reflect the club’s history from WW1 to today. Funded through the Federal Centenary of Armistice grant program.

12 noon - Bistro is open for lunch.

3.00 pm - Watch the AFL ANZAC Day match - Collingwood v Essendon - in the Members Lounge or on the big screen in the Memorial Hall.
